Do I have the right to copy news stories from places such as CNN News and publish it in a book? Using their name as a source or just leave out their name and publish the story? Thank you

No, such actions on your part would at the
very least infringe on the claims of the news organization
to copyright protection for these items and, perhaps, other proprietary
rights as well (in my opinion).
