How can a chair represent a common man?

How can a chair represent a common man?
A chair represents a common man ...

- both have a straight back (In most cases)
- both have legs
- both can be sit upon
- both can be either hard or soft (Not sexually)
- both could just sit around all day
- both work hard to sustain life, like how men "bring home the bacon" maintaining money, and chairs hold up the fort by maintaining it's ground under weight.
- both exist
- both are made of matter
- both are affected by gravity
- (Anything else that's related to science)
