Question

My friend was holding some of my watch collection at his home for me because he has a safe. Unbeknownst to me he was wearing one of my watches, a 1952 Rolex 6036 appraised at $105,000. The dial now has water damage. What is my recourse? It is almost impossible to find an original dial for this watch. Do I sue him? or Do I contact his homeowners insurance?

Thank You

Answer

Insurance will not cover unless it was placed as a rider on the policy. I would suggest suit is your best option. My email is [email protected]/* */ if you want to talk further.
