Question

My husband has been employed as a caretaker for 20+ years and health insurance was provided to both him and myself. He recently turned 65 and she refuses to pay for his medicare and supplement plans which is considerably less than his private health care policy. Is this right or fair? He plans to continue working until age 70 but is feeling demoted. Thank you.

Answer

Assuming no valid/enforceable contract requiring such coverage by

your husband's employer, there is nothing in state or federal law

that would require his employer to provide such coverage (as far as I am

aware).
