Question

I am 17 years old and moved out to my cousins house. My Mom Said that she can appoint me a guarian and send me into foster care cans she do that? Since i am 17 and already moved out is that legal?

Answer

A parent can surrender their child to the state and request foster care. But, it is up to the state workers what to do. In your case it seems unlikely you would go to foster care, as you have a family member( cousin)) to stay with. If mom feels she cannot care for you, she can nominate a guardian. But, that is only a nomination.
