my son was pulled over by a highway patrol officer, a "friend" of his call in a report of him driving our truck with an expired tag that is registered to another vehicle, i was supposed to go this afternoon and transfer that tag to the truck he was driving, but i did not get off of work in time, i told him when he called me that i did not mean for him to put the tag on the truck until i left the courthouse, theat part was my fault, the trooper took posession of the tag and told him he has a court date,and he may go to jail, what should we do, he has a cdl license?

You should get an attorney to help you get the tag back. Get it renewed in the meantime. Your attorney will be able to fight this in court and possibly before it gets to court. Since he faces losing his CDL license it is crucial not to delay in getting him representation.
