If you suspect a failing sensor you probably see it is acting up only at certain times. CMP usually under high heat stress to start.Find a person that has a scanner that sees the sensor real time.Hook up with the diag Scanner and recreate the situations the sensor mess up under.
It will either fail or not and the scanner operator will see it.
