Motion for summary judgement case set 7-27-12 CBA to 8-24-12 what does this mean?

Question

Motion for summary judgement case set 7-27-12 CBA to 8-24-12 what does this mean?

Answer

It means that you (Defendant) is Summons to Court and the Movant or Plaintiff has filed a motion to go before the Judge for speedy Hearing. This Hearing is set for 7-27-12...Not sure about the CBA to 8-24-12. The answer to this question can be provided by the Court Clerk.

However, it is important to know that the Plaintiff or Movant is attempting to get an Order in their favor before the Judge without you or the Defendant's litigation, presence or participation. Or they (Movants) are attempting to get the Judge to grant their claim because you or the Defendant failed to show up for a Hearing.

In other words, a Summary Judgment, is a procedural device that allows a speedy desposition of a controversy without the need for a hearing or trial.

Either way, we recommend that you review this case file and show up for court and/or contact a court clerk. They will provide you the details of the case as it relates to any hearings.
