Who is artist k kastaly?
Kathy Kastaly was born in Hungary and exhibited in NY and Montreal from the mid-60s and in Toronto in the 80s. She painted from an early age, inspired by her uncle, a noted Hungarian artist, and later studied Art at McMaster University.

Her landscape paintings of the 60s-80s showed a strong mastery of color and composition and reflected the nature of Quebec rural landscapes and evocative character studies. She experimented in impasto techniques in some of her landscapes, somtimes incorporating sand and other materials.

A prolific painter, her works are now rarely found in the marketplace, held mostly in private collections.
