Question

I am in a alimony modification trail in Florida (5/20), If my attorney is not being diligent, what happens if I fire him. what do I need to do?

Answer

If you fire him and still want to have an attorney represent you at the trial on May 20th, you need to hire a new attorney as soon as possible so that they have adequate time to prepare. You would also have the option of seeking to have the trial date continued for a short time, depending on the judge's ability to reschedule it quickly.

Answer

Ask for a continuance, it is a month away. set the hearing on the motions for asap. Then get new counsel. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.
