Answer
Are you asking for some information? It is not clear from what you wrote. If you do need some information, how come you are not asking the lawyer representing you in this matter? If you do not have a lawyer, you should because it appears this matter should be probated because a house is involved.
Answer
Agreed. You clearly need the services of a lawyer to represent you in this matter. For you to be the executor of an estate, there must be a Will. If there is a Will it needs to be probated. If the court appoints you under the terms of the Will, you do not need anyone's permission to sell the house. If there is no Will, you have no more authority than any of your siblings to do anything with the house as the house now belongs to all 5 of you assuming there is no surviving spouse. Probate is a complicated procedure particularly when there are multiple heirs and you have to take care of this in the courts.
