Is there new battery technology out there for the battery powered car?
Yes. The Imperial College London is doing studies with other European companies, such as Volvo to develop cars that are able to generate electricity in their own skins. This would increase the range of battery vehicles. The spinoffs will be mobile phones that are powered by their own shells, no internal battery making them lighter.
