Today I recieved a Reckless Operation and my question is if I can not prove that my transmission is giving me issues is there a way to reduce the ticket to a non moving violation?(Hammond Louisiana)

There is no guarantee of that, but you can certainly bring that issue to the DA and ask for it. You would probably have better luck if you hired an attorney to represent you. Most traffic attorneys only charge a couple of hundred dollars or so to represent people for traffic tickets and a reckless operation ticket is a VERY serious ticket (second only to DWI). Most insurance companies will cancel your insurance if you are found guilty of it and your insurance rates will skyrocket for many years to come. I wouldn't take a chance if I were you. I'd get representation.
