my husband died 2005, he has a will but his trustee and his lawyer told me that i don't have to see the will because i wasn't mentioned in the will anyway, i didn't know the law here in america since i am not from this country, until someone told me that i am a legal wife and i hae all the rights.. we dont have kids but he have 3 kids from revious marriage and they are the one that took everything in our house.. i want to go to court but i think its too late now?
Answer
It may be too late if the will has gone through probate. If you were a legal wife you have legal options, and should be entitled to a portion of his estate. You should contact a lawyer in your area.
