What yeat was the bus invented?
The worlds first busline was established in the french city of Nantes in 1826 by a miller called Stanislas Baudry.
He built a bathhouse beside his cornmill to make use of the surplus heat. He installed benches in either side of his carriade and drove customers from the town centre to his bathhouse.
He names it Omnibus (omni - for all, bus -vehicle).
Two years later he established buslines in Lyon, Paris and Bordeaux. and the year after that buslines appeared in London and New York.
