can police come onto your property and question you if they see you drinking a beer while mowing your lawn on a riding mower? if so could they issue you a OUI?

You can only be charged with OUI if you are operating a motor vehicle (riding mower counts) on a public way (your lawn isn't) or a place where the public has a right of access (now we're in the grey zone).. is the yard fenced? Talk to a lawyer about the details.
