child custody/ interrogatories
My husband is seeking custody of his 8yr old son. He just answered 63 interrogatory questions some were pretty personal. Now we are wondering how personal can you get when asking questons? Can we ask if she (the mother) has had an abortion or if she had an affair with her husbands supervisor? Are these too direct and personal?

I assume that you have an attorney and that s/he will prepare any discovery. If you do not have an attorney, you probably need one for a custody case.

It is difficult to say without knowing more of the issues and the allegations.
However, the general rule is that you can ask anything that is material, relevant or likely to lead to evidence that will be admissible at trial.
