Hi. I bought a GM Chevy SUV in '05 with a full warranty. I extended that warranty in '10. The car, last year, has a problem with the ABS/Traction control. I've brought the car in to various gm dealers and none have fixed it. One dealer had it for 4 visits (about 18 days), and then said they weren't gonna even try (which i recorded), that the problem was a "luxury feature"! only necessary for "panic stops". GMPP won't let any one else look at the car but gm dealers. other, reputable, gm dealers refuse to look at it: catch 22!. The car is still under FULL gm major guard warranty and remains in disrepair. I cant sell it or have it inspected. I have tried everything, and spent thousands on GM warranties to avoid this. What can i do? Thanks:)
Answer
Retain an attorney to write a letter to GM Corporate office explaining your dilemma and GM's failure to rectify the problem. Threaten a law suit to enforce your rights or substantial damages for causing you unnecessary expenditures of time, money and effort. If no response, have an independent repair the problem and sue GM for costs.
