My first time signing a contract as a "Contractor". The contract is between me and another company. In the signature area it asks for 'By' and "Its" What do these terms mean?

If you had set up a corporation you were doing your work through, the "by" would be followed by your name, printed, and the "its" would be your officer capacity, such as "President." If you were an LLC, the "its" would be "Member". If you were in a partnership, it would be "Partner." Usually people doing business set up some sort of limited liability company to protect their personal assets from certain types of losses. That's why they incorporate or set up an LLC.
