Question

Hi, I had filed divorce petition in Arizona. After that the respondent has moved to a different address. In the divorce default decree, is it ok to put the respondent's new address even though it does not match his address in the petition? If I put his new address in the default decree, will the court be ok with it?

Thanks.

Answer

Perhaps it is best to list both addresses and explain the basis for doing so. It is best to err on the side of caution to avoid confusion or giving the other party a basis to try and set aside the decree in the future. Best of luck!
