If i had a FTA on a conceal weapon, what will be my outcome in NC?
Answer
It truly depends upon the facts of the case. There was an Order for your arrest on the day you failed to appear in court, and the State will serve that order on your when law enforcement finds you. Once the case is back in court, the State will still have to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. So, in many cases with FTAs the State will not have the evidence, nor the witnesses available when the case goes to trial. You need to look at hiring an attorney in the County where you were charged. You need to look at how long it has been since you failed to appear, if the state's witness is still on the force, and able to come to court; and what the local District Attorney's policy is on plea bargains in these types of cases.
