My husbands truck was stolen from his jobsite with about $5000 worth of tools in it. Can we file a claim on those too?

Certainly you may file a claim with your automobile insurer. Whether you will be sucessful will depend upon the wording of your policy. Teh insure may try to deny the extra claim at first. They poftne do this even when the really know they should pay. Therefore, you may have to hire counsel to help you convince them to cover the loss of the tools. Obvioulsy, you should make sure that all future policies covering vhicles that contain his tools should clearly cover such losses. You might have to get a special rider for them.
