Question

statutory durable power of attorney

After being notorized, does the power of attorney document have to be filed with the county to be official?

Answer

Re: statutory durable power of attorney

I'm not sure what you mean by "official." Failing to record the document will not make it ineffective. However there are advantages to filing the document in the county records, especially if land is involved.

Feel free to email me if you require anything further.
