How do you ensure high level of customer service?

How do you ensure high level of customer service?
The representative should be polite, efficient, respectful, friendly, enthusiastic, confident and tactful.
One should never argue with the customer, shouldn't be over confident for e.g. "only game in the town" because there's a lot o competition around.
