Question

I was recently contacted by an oil company searching mineral right owners. through this process i learned that my grandparents divorce decree states there were no children of the marriage. Would the fact that there were 2 children and 4 grandchildren nullify that decree? Both are dead but we found our grandfather actually owned the land and wells and when our grandmother passed away her niece was power of attorney and stole what should have been rightfully ours. this happened in 1987. Can we bring a civil suit against her based on point of discovery?

Answer

Possibly, see an attorney in your area.
